Crufts 2010
What a fantastic successful day at Crufts when Zac was placed 1st in Any Variety Sporting Spaniel Dog in the Gamekeepers class and awarded Best Spaniel Dog and the Sportsman Game Feeds Trophy.  He then went on to be placed 3rd in Limit Dog and 1st in Special Working Dog in the breed classes.
Caz was placed 3rd in Postgraduate Bitch and 1st in Special Working Bitch in the breed classes.
A very satisfying day overall.

A very busy month with an event every weekend.

18 & 19 July - IWSA Championship show at Kitebrook House where Zac was placed 2nd in Limit and 1st in Good Citizen, a pleasing result.
24, 25 & 26 July - CLA Gamefair at Belvoir Castle, Leicester - SIWS doing demonstrations every day.

May & June
Zac ran in a couple of Open working tests in May and completed 95% of tests superbly but unfortunately messed the other 5% up.
Travelled to Ireland on 30th May and attended two Championship shows in Dublin on 31st May and 1st June. Zac was placed 2nd in Limit on 31st and 1st in Working Dog on 1st June and then was awarded the Reserve CACIB.
Rest of week spent just relaxing, playing and swimming in the sea.

Minor Breeds Event - April 2009
Test 4 comprised of a mark in trees to the left and then you had to send straight forward for a blind first and pick the seen second.
Picture shows Zac being sent for blind, he achieved both retrieves successfully.

March 2009
A very successful day at Crufts with Zac getting placed 1st in two of his classes.
Working Dog and Good Citizen Dog, we also had a few enquiries re stud work which put a little sparkle in his eye!
Zac has been selected for the IWS Working Team again so will now be concentrating on getting ready for that event on 19th April.

2007/2008

Zac has had a very successful year in working tests.
From October 2007 to July 2008 he has won 6 trophies and we are very very proud of him.
He has also appeared in numerous demos throughout 2008 and he is always a crowd pleaser and loves to meet spectators after the demos.

Zac adores his little daughter Caz who came to live with us in July 2007.  They spend most of their time playing with each other and even when Zac is very tired he never tells her off for jumping all over him.

2008
What a successful year for our wonderful Zac. At the SIWS Breed Confined weekend at Chillington Hall, Wolverhampton Zac was absolutely brilliant and not only did he win Novice Water test on Saturday 19, he also won the Open Water test and then on the Sunday 20 he was 2nd in Open Working test.  He was also awarded the Rockmoor Challenge Trophy for best overall performance. We are so very very proud of him.
He ended the month at the CLA Gamefair, Bleinheim where he featured in the IWS demo.
Big event in May was Minor Breeds Team event on 18 May. Sue and Zac were very honoured to be invited to be part of the team, despite the fact that it meant a very early start and 3 hour drive to the event.  Brilliant news is that the IWS team won the event which made the day very special, very well done to Lin, Dave and Ian, what a great team.
At the SIWS AGM on 30th March Zac and Sue were awarded the Trophy for the most promising IWS and Handler for 2007.
Zac and Caz both appeared in The Gundog Parade at The Kent Gamefair in March and Zac impressed quite a few people with his display in the scurries.
At Crufts 2008 Zac came 1st in Working Gundog.  He has now won a 1st in 2006, 2007 and 2008.  He was also the IWS shown at the start of the BBC1 Crufts coverage on Friday 7th March.
FEB - Zac and Sue, along with other IWS and handlers from the SIWS club appeared on BBC Countryfile on 24 February.  The filming for the event, which featured the top 15 vulnerable British and Irish native breeds took place in the Cotswolds on Tuesday 12th February.
Besides all the above Zac appeared in Warrenby Demos at Charing, South of England Show, Kent Country Show, Edenbridge & Oxted Show, Losley Park and Autumn Game Fair.
He also was placed second at the following Championship shows:
National Gundog, Windsor and WELKS and was awarded Best of Breed and shortlisted for Best in Show at South of England Open Show.

2007
At Crufts 2007 Zac won 3 classes, Postgraduate, Working and Good Citizen and then went on to be awarded the Reserve CC.
He entered five working tests in 2007 and ZAC performed extremely well in all of them. We were awarded a tropy at the URC test for best handler and dog not placed in the awards, came 4th in SIWS working test in July, we got a certificate of merit in UGS Novice test in September and won the trophy for best IWS in the SIWS AV Novice test in October.
Zac has appeared in the Warrenby Gundog demonstrations throughout 2007 delighting the crowd with his retrieving and also making them laugh with his clowning around.
He has also been picking up on shoots this season for the first time and equitted himself very well.
The first show we entered after Crufts was South of England Gundog show where Zac went Best of Breed.  He has been awarded 2 firsts and 5 seconds at championship shows through the year and won Best of Breed at the Kingston Canine Show.

Zac did very well in the showing world in 2006 but even more pleasing was when he was placed 4th in SIWS water test on 2nd July 2006.  He also won tropy for IWS with highest score in AV Novice test on October 15th 2006.  He also achieved his Good Citizen Bronze certificate and was the first dog to pass The Gundog Club Intermediate Retriever test.
In 2005 he achieved his Good Citizen Puppy certificate and demonstrated obedience at Earls Court.
